Growing up on the family farm and going on to develop the commercial construction department for George Moor & Co. prepared Harold Gutknecht to open Gutknecht Construction in 1974. For 21 years he built a reputation for high quality construction in public works and is held in the highest regard among his contemporaries. Harold's no nonsense approach to business and his sincere concern for the families that helped to advance Gutknecht Construction led him to offer the sale of the company to his employees in 1996. Today we are an 80% employee owned company with Harold continuing to play an active and vital role.
