Position Overview:
We are seeking a Concrete Restoration Superintendent with 5+ years of experience to manage day-to-day operations on concrete restoration and structural repair projects — with an emphasis on parking garages and complex infrastructure.
The Superintendent will oversee field crews, ensure safety and quality compliance, coordinate with project managers and engineers, and maintain strong client relationships across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on job sites
Plan and manage daily project operations to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and enforce OSHA standards
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower needs
Conduct daily reporting, site documentation, and quality control
Maintain positive communication with project managers, engineers, clients, and inspectors
Assist in training, mentoring, and development of crew members
Manage projects across multi-state territories as needed (travel required)
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete restoration / structural repair / waterproofing
Proven experience managing projects such as parking garage restoration, stadiums, balconies, or similar structures
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage on-site construction teams
Proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, The Cloud Desk, or similar construction management tools
Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and jobsite compliance
Ability to travel to out-of-state projects as needed (travel and lodging provided)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license required
Preferred (but not required):
OSHA 30 Certification
ACI or ICRI certifications
Experience managing multi-state projects

Requirements
Experience & Background:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman in concrete restoration, structural repair, waterproofing, and coatings — specifically on parking garages, stadiums, balconies, and similar structures.
In-depth knowledge of concrete repair methods, post-tension cable repairs, carbon fiber reinforcement, epoxy injections, coatings, and sealants.
Prior experience managing multi-state projects is a plus (Gutknecht is licensed in 13 states).
Leadership & Project Management:
Strong leadership abilities to manage and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on job sites.
Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate project phases to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
Conduct regular safety meetings, enforce safety regulations, and maintain clean, compliant work sites.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Communication & Reporting:
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, owners, inspectors, and office staff.
Ability to prepare and maintain daily reports, project updates, quality control documentation, and safety records.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Comfortable using construction technology — Bluebeam, Procore, The Cloud Desk (or similar platforms).
Familiar with scheduling tools (Microsoft Project or similar).
Working knowledge of OSHA standards and state/local building codes.
Travel & Flexibility:
Willingness to travel to out-of-state projects as needed (company covers travel/lodging).
Ability to adapt to varying project timelines and conditions.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
OSHA 30 Certification.
ACI certifications or ICRI certifications are highly desirable.
